  1. Kareena’s I-T return account hacked, files complaint

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has filed a complaint with the cyber cell of the Mumbai police alleging that the online account used for filing her income tax (I-T) returns has been hacked. “Kapoor’s chartered accountant approached us alleging that the account his client used for filing her income returns was hacked. He said he fail to access her account after hack. Hacker has a knowledge of her PAN. Hacker had even paid Kapoor’s quarterly I-T tax amount.

  1. Israeli Tech firm claims its new CatchApp can hack any WhatsApp account

Israeli Tech firm has claimed to develop new app called CatchApp. This new app is able to capture content from WhatsApp able to bypass its encryption code. The Haifa-based spy tech firm is claiming that this new app has “unprecedented capability” to steal everything from a phone’s WhatsApp database via a man-in-the-middle attack.  Working of app is it first intercepting traffic between app and WhatsApp server and then device decode encryption. The CatchApp is transferred to the phone through WINT product of Wintego. WINT is a hacking device that has to be fitted into a backpack.

Cyber Security Tips: To prevent from such attack user has to secure their device with antivirus, secure your WhatsApp data with passwords, and avoid to connect open WI fi.

  1. SIMS Game Custom Content Site Hacked; 118K Accounts Leaked

SIMS video games contents has been hacked, near about 118k account has been hacked. Hacker has stolen data using SQL injection. Hack Read contacted the online data mining company Hacked-DB for a scan they found the site was hacked on the 22/09/2016. Upon scanning the data, Hacked-DB’s researchers found user details such as username, first name, last name, and date of birth, gender, country, 117,743 unique email addresses and their passwords stored with MD5 encryption without salt.

Cyber Security Tips: If you are SIMS user, then immediately change your account password, use strong password to your account.

  1. Someone hacked this billboard in Indonesia and defaced with Japanese porn

Unknown hacker or a group of hackers hacked into the computer system of a large LED video screen billboard in the Kebayoran Baru district of South Jakarta. They replaced the advertisement on the screen with pornographic content for a short period of time. The cyber-crime unit in the district is also investigating the incident and vow to punish anyone found guilty of hacking the billboard.
