  1. Unpatched Microsoft Word Flaw is Being Used to Spread Dridex Banking Trojan

Microsoft word 0-day vulnerability could allow attacker Spread Dridex Banking Trojan. According to the security firm Proofpoint, the Dridex malware started exploiting the unpatched Microsoft Word vulnerability to spread a version of their infamous Dridex banking Trojan. Dridex also known as Bugat and Cridex is a form of malware that specializes in stealing bank credentials via a system that utilizes macros from Microsoft Word. Once it spread in the system it starting monitoring a victim’s traffic to bank sites by infiltrating PCs and stealing victim’s online banking credentials and financial data. According to the researcher attacker targeting users through email.

Cyber Security tips: Users are strictly recommended avoid to open spam mails, do not click on unknown emails and enable ‘protected view’ in Microsoft office to prevent the attack.
